In this unique
program, master tradesmen, who are also experienced teachers, conduct a
series of one-day workshops in which participants take up the tools
themselves in order to learn more about them and their use. In many of
the workshops participants produce objects to take home. The work day
consists of two three-hour sessions from 9-12 and 1-4 with an hour for
lunch. which is provided each day. Also included are two tavern dinners cooked in the traditional 18th century manner over open fires - an experience not to be missed. |

1971 by EAIA member Don Carpentier. It is located midway between Albany
& Pittsfield, MA. The village comprises a collection of 18th &
early 19th-century buildings moved from various towns in New York. There
is a meeting house built in Schenectady in 1836, a store from Minaville
begun in 1811 with later additions, a 1793 tavern, an 1834 doctors
office from Hoosick, and several other buildings. Trade shops include
